- A middle size plastic bottle (or a cup sized vase)
Practice
Start preparing
According to the flowers that you have, we start drawing your idea on a pieces of paper. For example, we we would like to place the six flowers in a circle. Be aware those six flowers height should be at the same level as right side image below.
If you don’t have a small vase, we can use any middle sized plastic bottle instead of it. Here I have prepared another pencil case to cover outside of plastic bottle. So you will need to cut the plastic bottle as same height as the pencil case, also cut the brick of floral foam same width and height as the plastic bottle.
Soak floral foam correctly first. Cut and trim it to fit the plastic bottle, then place it into the pencil case.
Inserting a circle shape
Cut 3 Chrysanthemums stems and leave one stem about 12 – 15 cm long, also trim all leaves off.
Use utility knife to trim off branches, also cut the end of stem in 45 degree angle.
Place the vase on a pieces of paper, and draw a circle which is gapping between 5 – 8 cm long around the vase. Also draw 6 points equally on the circle.
The points which you drew on the circle will be the spots that you are going to place the flowers. Therefore, from step 5, you prepared a clean stem of Chrysanthemum, place it at the edge of floral foam.
According to the circle points, place another 2 Chrysanthemums evenly on the edge of floral foam.
Make sure the 3 Chrysanthemums are placed at same height level from side view, and are equally distributed from top view.
Cut 3 rose stems and leave one stem about 12 – 15 cm long, also trim all leaves off.
According to the circle points, place 3 roses on the edge of floral foam in the gaps. Make sure the 6 flowers are at same height level from side view, and are equally distributed from the top view.
Secondary flowers and fill in the gaps
Find some good looking secondary small flowers to place at the center of floral foam.
It’s a good idea to cut leaves and secondary small flowers each small branches about 12 – 15 cm long, that will help you to place them quickly and also easier to organize it.
Trying as much as you can to use all small leaves and small flower branches, fill up the gaps between primary flowers.
